It's all about us

"It's all about us..."

You know, guys, I was wondering these days, how many things we let escape from our hands just because we're not brave enought to face everybody's opinion? Dreams, wishes, feelings, talents... It's sad but it's true that almost everything we don't do it's because of the fear of the judgement. It feels like every eye in the room is watching your path and next steps, and the fear of making a mistake and falling is so huge that we feel afraid of even trying it on or considering the success.
These days it really came to my mind and it wouldn't let me rest for a minute without remembering moments of my life that I lost great oportunities just because I wasn't brave enought to face what people would think or, most important, what I would think about myself. The point is, beyond facing what everyone around thinks, the harder is to face what you think about yourself. If you think you're not enough, then you won't be enough. If you think you're not able to wear a different piece of cloth, then you will never be able to do it. If you think you can't go on and make a dream come true, you will definitely never believe in yourself to chase your dreams.
What I'm trying to say is: we spend so much time of our lives caring about what everybody's thinking about us, that we don't even stop to hear our own opinion about ourselves and consider that, maybe, we're the ones who are discouraging ourselves. It's all about acceptance and self-knowledge. IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU. IT'S ALL ABOUT US.

My Favorite: Chanel Classic Flap Bag

Hello guys!

Today I'm here to talk about the amazing Chanel, one of my favorite brands in the world! I want hopelessly a purse from Chanel, but now those are just plans. Well, now let's start!

Coco Chanel
Firstly I'm going to talk a little bit about the Chanel's creator. Known by Coco Chanel, her real name actually was Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, she was born in France. After her mother's death she went to a boarding school and then started working, as a seamstress.
After a while she was descovered by John Kennedy's wife and because of that she became more famous than ever, and her brand keep being one of the most known brands in the world.

Addicted And Proud: Glasses

Hello, beautiful people out there! Everybody's all right? I hope so.
So, today I'm here to open a popular subject between our teenage world: addictions! Not that drugs and alcohol addiction thing, NO! We can be addicted to a different and several kind of things: clothes, shoes, make-up, books, whatever...
Anyway, today's addiction is GLASSES! They came back to the runaways in the last year joined to the vintage wave. Glasses appeared in brands like Prada, Fendi, D&G and many others. They showed up with big frames and sort of geek-oriented style. Since they came out in the high-fashion brands, the whole fashion world instantly got addicted to them. But it isn't our fault! Glasses are great accesories and bring personality to our outfits. How not to fall in love?

Glasses in the runaways: Prada and Fendi
The intersting thing is: glasses became so popular that even people who doesn't strictly need to use them as a health thing, started to use it as an accesory, which was seen by many as the trivialization of cult, nerd and geek style.
What we can certainly say is: intelligence is getting trendy, and we can't deny it. I, even having the need of wearing glasses, just started looking for them after they got popular. (yeah, I confess it.) Belonging to the nerd society or not, glasses became our new obession. Especially these nerdy and vintage ones:

And, to finish with flourish, the ''glassy'' me:

What you all think about the glasses obsession, guys? Have you picked your favorite yet? Let me know in the comments below!
That's all for now!

Trip: The Big Apple

Hey Everyone!

I'm here to talk about one of the most incredible cities in the world, New York. This place has some kind of charm that makes this one of my favorites that I know.  Well, now let's talk about what you must, should or can do there.

Like every tourist fthat is going for the first time, you have to see the classics tourist spots. Let's begin with one of the most noun statues of the world, The Statue of Liberty:

Did you know that the statue was given by the French?

The Empire State Building:

The highest building in New York nowadays.

The Times Square:

It's basically a street, but not a normal one.

New year's eve

The Central Park:

The biggest park I have ever seen. There's even a zoo inside this place and you can easily get lost there.

Just like in the movies, isn't it?

The Rockefeller Center:

If you like ice skating in the winter there is a skating-rink.

Now let's talk about one of my favorite and special subject, shopping. Well in New York, of course, there are a lot of places to shop. You can go to the fifth avenue and even to Times Square.

Fifth Avenue:

There you can find really classical and famous brands just like Louis Vuitton, Abercrombie & Fitch, Saks Fith Avenue , Armani, Apple, Prada and many others.

Times Square:

There you can find a huge Forever 21 store, also the classic M&M's store, Hershey's store, American Eagle and many others.

That's all for today guys! Any questions write down in the comments!

See you soon,

Carol.

Fashionista - Favorite LookBookers

Hello everyone!
So, today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite fashion sites, which is LOOKBOOK, yay! I know, we all love it. I'm almost sure that this is one of your favorite fashion inspirations, too. For those ones who doesn't know what LookBook is, it's a site where people can share daily outfits and looks. And it works as an incredible tool for all of us, to get inspired and trendy. I confess that the majority of my fashion looks come from there. Sometimes, you are rolling through the screen and realize that you own almost every cloth piece the lookbooker is wearing, but never thought of wearing them together. Then, you try it on and SURPRISE! a new outfit appears!
Although talking about the LookBook magic is a great subject, I'm here today to talk about something inside the LookBook's world, which is the creators of it, truly. The LookBookers are the people who fill the site up daily with their looks. And let's say it, they've done a great job, until now.
And, as a LookBook obsessed, I already have my favorite bloggers from there.
The first one I'm going to talk about is Imogen De Souza, a sweet girl from London, whose posts touch my cutie and girly side.
These are some of my favorite outfits from her:

This is her page, where you can check all of her outfits out: http://lookbook.nu/hootowlimmi

Now, the second LookBooker I'm going to introduce you is Luanna, from Peru but currently living in NYC. Her posts touch my rock'n'roll and rebel side, mainly. In those days when I'm a bit angry and want to throw my doll side from the window, her page is where I go to get inspired. Of course going out with orange collored hair, wearing skulls and a whole black outfit is a bit much for me, but it makes me more confident in my creations.
So, this is some of her outfits:

And this is her page, where you can check all of her outfits out: http://lookbook.nu/luanna

LookBook is a magic world where you can get inspired and find out fashion lovers just like you and me. I hope you all keep your obsession for LookBook.
That's all for now, beautiful people.
See you soon,

Reviews: Orofluido

Hello everyone!

I'm here to talk about the Orofluido by Revlon

I have been using this beauty elixir and I loved it. For the ones that doesn't know this is a product to apply on hair, after dry or even wet! It helps your hair to be more shinny and beautiful than ever! The Orofluido is made of 3 types of oils, but it doesn't let your hair "heavy" and doesn't let any residue.

This beauty elixir is one of my favourites in the moment! After washing my hair and drying it I use it and it makes a lot of difference, I really liked it!

There are other products like: shampoo, conditioner, but those I have never tried! You can check it out the other products in this website: http://www.orofluido.com/en/index.php

This product is not that easy to find in supermakets, but you can easly find on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Orofluido-Beauty-Elixir-Gift-Unisex/dp/B003BK96RY).

If you have tried, please tell me if you liked it, in the comments!

See you soon!

New Store (Mod Cloth)

Hello everyone!
Today I brought to you a lovelly vintage store I've found online. It's called Mod Cloth and, although it's an american store (wait for it), THEY SEND ABROAD! We, compulsive buyers as we are, know how it's tough to find a trendy and cheap store near us (especially if you don't live in the USA or Europe). And of course, as teenagers, we can't just drive far away or spend too much time with shopping... Soooo, online stores has been our saviors.

But, as I already said, for those who doesn't live in the countries where the trendy and cheap stores are, having their boughts sent abroad is the only option. Although sendind pieces abroad is a popular way that stores has been taking as an option to offer their products, many stores that we love, like TopShop, Forever21, Primark, H&M etc STILL DON'T SEND PRODUCTS ABROAD. *sadface*

So, I got really excited when a friend sent me the Mod Cloth's online store link, because it's trendy, cute, cheap AND SEND YOUR PRODUCTS TO YOU :) yay! The list of countries they send to is just HUGE, so I really hope your county is included on it.

One thing I really liked too is that you can calculate the fee values you'll need to pay, which is not too expensive, by the way. The products are not that cheap as they are in TopShop or Primark, but anyway, there are some cutie things that worth the price.

So, this is Mod Cloth (www.modcloth.com)! I really hope you all enjoy it, and if you ever buy something online from this or any other stores, come tell us if it worked and if you got satisfied.

That's all for now, guys.
See you soon,

Reviews: M.A.C.'s Velvet Teddy

Hello guys! Everything's all right?
So, I've bought a few things in the past month that I would really like to make reviews about, including make-up and clothes.
The first review I'm going to do is this one, about a matte nude lipstick called Velvet Teddy, by M.A.C.

Velvet Teddy by M.A.C.
Velvet Teddy by M.A.C.
First, we all know M.A.C. is quite a reputable and quality brand all around the world, and with this product, wouldn't be different. I must say I was expecting more, though. Before I bought it, I've seen it in M.A.C.'s online store and googled it as well. The color I was expecting was this light beige, almost sand-colored, but what I've truly got is this light brown color. But... Considering my whiteness, I cannot get sore about this misunderstood. The matte is perfect, I gotta say. And, although the real color isn't  the one I was expecting, it's quite beautiful. I've wore it this week for a night event, and I didn't even need to reapply it, because it lasts long. Suming up all I've got, I have to say I'm really satisfied.
Some of the beauty-bloggers I follow compare Velvet Teddy with Teddy Bear by Maybelline (yes, even the name is similar), but, as I don't have both of them, I cannot compare.
PRICE: So, I've bought my Velvet Teddy at Heathrow's freeshop, so you can find a slightly difference in the prices. I've got it for 15 pounds, which is something around 22 dollars. And, considering it's a product by M.A.C. I didn't find it really expensive.
So, that's all for now.
See you all soon,
