how to: write a trip diary

Hello everyone! How are you all? Some of you went back to classes today, I suppose, didn’t you? Luckly, I didn’t. In fact, now I’m writing from a quite unusual place. I’m on board. Yes, on a plane. Well, actually, when this post go up here in the blog, I’ll problably not be on board anymore, but now I am. I’m on my way to Santiago, Chile and there’s a little chance that I’m crossing the Andes mountain range right now. The flight have been really nice so far and there’s no signal of storms and these stuff out there in the sky, thank God!
So, I was wondering I could share with you the most pleasant and wonderful way that exists to make a trip unforgettable, which is writing a trip diary. I know it seems quite old-fashioned, but you cannot believe how grateful it it is to sit down after a long time has passed since your trip, and bring back to your memory all the great moments you spent with your family in that journey.
It’s quite easy to write it, so I’ve done a simple guide containing 6 quick tips for you. Check it out:

1)      Get a nice diary. The notebook itself represents your personality. And you may keep it for several different trips during a long time, depending on how much you’re gonna write on it. This is mine:

2)      Start writing it before the trip begins. Write down where you’re going, how many days you’re going to stay there, your expectations… It all brings to your trip diary a truth feeling, like you’re getting ready to go on your trip.

3)      If it’s possible, add pictures and maps mixed with your notes. If you can’t print any image where you’re going to stay, save some spaces to put them on right after you get home. Digital pictures are great, but paper ones are the best.

4)      Write it at the end of the day. I suggest this moment to write down your notes simply because you can do a quick resume everything you’ve done in that day. Take a shower and separate 15 minutes before you go to your bed. You’ll be feeling tired, I’m not gonna lie. But it worthies at the end.

5)      Make headers. It turns the reading easier. I’d suggest your header to have your current location, the date and the time.

6)     Keep all the tickets, cards, flyers and ads you may find interesting. Even if they don’t fit in your diary, put them in a envelope, write down the trip information on it and keep it with your diary.

So that’s it. If you’re still on holidays, and you’re going on a trip, be sure that writing a trip diary doesn’t take so much as it seems. It’s a nice, personal and pleasant way to make your trip unforgettable. Wanna tell me some trip experience, if you ever wrote a trip diary or whatever it is, write down in the comments!
I’ll see you very soon,

Christmas - Pass It Good!

Hello everybody! How's everything going? I can't even believe Christmas Eve is tomorrow! Who else's excited? So, I don't know you all, but in my family, the dinner is the most important moment in the whole Christmas celebration, more even than the presents. Everyone dress up and pass it really good-looking and so do I. So, I would like to give you some inspirations to get ready for this amazing and magical night! Let's start?
Starting with nail art...

For clothes, choose greens, reds and golds. It could be a simple and festive jumper, or even a nice dress:

And, of course, ACCESSORIES!

For make up, you could try a red lipstick, or a gold eyeshadow! The options are many... But, the truth is: Christmas is all about celebrating a great time with your family and close friends. Doesn't really matter what you're wearing, anyway. What does matter is you feel good. If you're happy, if you're having a great time with the ones you love, and if you're feeling pretty, that's what matters!
I sincerely wish you all a marvellous Christmas! Full of joy, love and happy moments! Go ahead and PASS IT GOOD! x

Getting Christmassy! - Part One

Hello sweeties! Everybody's ready for Xmas? Because that's what we're gonna talk about today! YAY! I don't know you all, but I simply LOVE Christmas. I reckon it's my favourite holiday. I love the eve, I love the party, I love the food and mainly, as we are in a fashion blog, I love christmas fashion! (No, I'm not talking about the Santa's costume, neither the Rudolf's). So, I'm here to inspire you to get as christmassy as possible and get in the spirit! This post will be divided in two parts. In this one, I'm gonna talk about clothing and eating, and in the second one, it's time to house decoration and songs. Let's get it started!

First: Clothing!

If you're facing the winter time, you'll certainly need a warm jumper or sweater. Why don't you try a Christmas-themed one? Come on, it's fun, warm and cheap! Have a look on some of the options:

They're so wearable, oh my God, I can't even. Besides jumpers, Primark is selling Christmas-themed trousers and, for the adventurous, it is a fun and warm option! Have a look on them:

Cute, aren't them?

Second: Eating!

We all know Christmas is a time when we cannot avoid eating as much as fat pig. (CONFESS IT) I know, we're all in this together. Cookies, chocolate, dried fruit, nuts, turkey.......... all that stuff that drives us crazy.  And, just to keep the traditions, this year won't be any different. I'll teach you one of my favourite Christmas snack, which is: Snowball Cookies! There they are:

THEY'RE DELICIOUS.
Here's the recipe, which I've taken from www.momswhothink.com! Thank you, moms!
Ingredients:

1 cup butter
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Cream the butter with 1/2 cup of the confectioners' sugar and the vanilla. Mix in the flour, nuts and salt.
3. Roll about 1 tablespoon or so of dough into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Do not allow these cookies to get too brown. It's better to undercook them than to overcook them.
5. While cookies are still hot roll them in confectioners' sugar. Once they have cooled roll them in confectioners' sugar once more.

I hope you all enjoy the tips and, if you try to make the snowball cookies, let me know if you've liked them in the comments below!
See you soon and remember: GET CHRISTMASSY!

It's all about us

"It's all about us..."

You know, guys, I was wondering these days, how many things we let escape from our hands just because we're not brave enought to face everybody's opinion? Dreams, wishes, feelings, talents... It's sad but it's true that almost everything we don't do it's because of the fear of the judgement. It feels like every eye in the room is watching your path and next steps, and the fear of making a mistake and falling is so huge that we feel afraid of even trying it on or considering the success.
These days it really came to my mind and it wouldn't let me rest for a minute without remembering moments of my life that I lost great oportunities just because I wasn't brave enought to face what people would think or, most important, what I would think about myself. The point is, beyond facing what everyone around thinks, the harder is to face what you think about yourself. If you think you're not enough, then you won't be enough. If you think you're not able to wear a different piece of cloth, then you will never be able to do it. If you think you can't go on and make a dream come true, you will definitely never believe in yourself to chase your dreams.
What I'm trying to say is: we spend so much time of our lives caring about what everybody's thinking about us, that we don't even stop to hear our own opinion about ourselves and consider that, maybe, we're the ones who are discouraging ourselves. It's all about acceptance and self-knowledge. IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU. IT'S ALL ABOUT US.

Addicted And Proud: Glasses

Hello, beautiful people out there! Everybody's all right? I hope so.
So, today I'm here to open a popular subject between our teenage world: addictions! Not that drugs and alcohol addiction thing, NO! We can be addicted to a different and several kind of things: clothes, shoes, make-up, books, whatever...
Anyway, today's addiction is GLASSES! They came back to the runaways in the last year joined to the vintage wave. Glasses appeared in brands like Prada, Fendi, D&G and many others. They showed up with big frames and sort of geek-oriented style. Since they came out in the high-fashion brands, the whole fashion world instantly got addicted to them. But it isn't our fault! Glasses are great accesories and bring personality to our outfits. How not to fall in love?

Glasses in the runaways: Prada and Fendi
The intersting thing is: glasses became so popular that even people who doesn't strictly need to use them as a health thing, started to use it as an accesory, which was seen by many as the trivialization of cult, nerd and geek style.
What we can certainly say is: intelligence is getting trendy, and we can't deny it. I, even having the need of wearing glasses, just started looking for them after they got popular. (yeah, I confess it.) Belonging to the nerd society or not, glasses became our new obession. Especially these nerdy and vintage ones:

And, to finish with flourish, the ''glassy'' me:

What you all think about the glasses obsession, guys? Have you picked your favorite yet? Let me know in the comments below!
That's all for now!

Fashionista - Favorite LookBookers

Hello everyone!
So, today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite fashion sites, which is LOOKBOOK, yay! I know, we all love it. I'm almost sure that this is one of your favorite fashion inspirations, too. For those ones who doesn't know what LookBook is, it's a site where people can share daily outfits and looks. And it works as an incredible tool for all of us, to get inspired and trendy. I confess that the majority of my fashion looks come from there. Sometimes, you are rolling through the screen and realize that you own almost every cloth piece the lookbooker is wearing, but never thought of wearing them together. Then, you try it on and SURPRISE! a new outfit appears!
Although talking about the LookBook magic is a great subject, I'm here today to talk about something inside the LookBook's world, which is the creators of it, truly. The LookBookers are the people who fill the site up daily with their looks. And let's say it, they've done a great job, until now.
And, as a LookBook obsessed, I already have my favorite bloggers from there.
The first one I'm going to talk about is Imogen De Souza, a sweet girl from London, whose posts touch my cutie and girly side.
These are some of my favorite outfits from her:

This is her page, where you can check all of her outfits out: http://lookbook.nu/hootowlimmi

Now, the second LookBooker I'm going to introduce you is Luanna, from Peru but currently living in NYC. Her posts touch my rock'n'roll and rebel side, mainly. In those days when I'm a bit angry and want to throw my doll side from the window, her page is where I go to get inspired. Of course going out with orange collored hair, wearing skulls and a whole black outfit is a bit much for me, but it makes me more confident in my creations.
So, this is some of her outfits:

And this is her page, where you can check all of her outfits out: http://lookbook.nu/luanna

LookBook is a magic world where you can get inspired and find out fashion lovers just like you and me. I hope you all keep your obsession for LookBook.
That's all for now, beautiful people.
See you soon,
